Beauty tips to fight this hot season

March 8, 2018

This summer has been shocking surprise with the sun coming with more heat in spring instead of summer. This spoiled our plans to enjoy this spring. Because of this I have got a lot of queries on how to deal with sunburn, open pores, burning of the hands, feet and eyes mostly on how to stay cool. So I would like to share some essential tips on how to deal with the common problems most of us face during this time of the year.

Firstly, all of us need to accept the fact that to be healthy from outside we have to work from inside. So, abandon all the rich gravies, fried snacks, starchy food, alcohol and aerated drinks. Include coconut water, lime water, light squashes of Bael and Rhododendron, in your diet which help to cool the system. Apart from this include lots of seasonal fruits in your diet like watermelon, muskmelons, cucumber, raita and bottle gourd, fresh mint leaves into food, salads and drinks to help you keep fresh.

Burning Hands, feet and eyes
Burning on the hands and feet can be cured by rubbing bitter gourd slices on your feet and the palms of your hand. For burning eyes, keep used tea bags in the freezer and place them on your eyes for few minutes. Rose water pads and cucumber slices are also very effective.

Scalp Problems
I have got a lot of queries from people who are experiencing scalp problems. The sudden heat wave is the primary cause for this, and washing hair with neem water will help you treat this problem. For people with dry hair- You can also apply fuller’s earth mixed with cold milk leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse. For those who have oily hair, mix the fuller’s earth with yoghurt and apply the mixture on your hair.

Body Odour
Body odour is pervasive in summers, therefore try to wear cotton clothes only. Avoid tight-fitting clothes to let air ventilation and to keep yourself fresh. If possible try to bath twice a day and add a few drops of lemon in your bathing water. Addition of sea salt, mogra or jasmine flowers for fragrance is a great idea too. For softer and moisturised skin add milk to water and experience extraordinary skin.

Open Pores
Open pores have become a big issue these days and to prevent this, just put a couple of slices of raw tomatoes on your skin, wait till it absorbs the juice. After this rub tomato peels gently onto the skin. This will help the pores to shrink in gradually.

Keep all these essential tips in your mind and enjoy hot and beautiful summer cheerfully.
